In this latest work, the writer foregrounds veterinary life and the work of veterinarians, weaving together animal perspectives, owner experiences, and colleagues from the field. The collection blends emotional depth with genuine empathy, drawing from real-life moments gathered across Spain by veterinarians and animal lovers alike.

From Malaga to Leon, Madrid, Ciudad Real, Huelva, and Tenerife, Between Friends surveys a tapestry of surprising situations. Themed menu and wine

The dinner menu, prepared by the Maestral kitchen team, drew inspiration from the book. Guests enjoyed a regional Augustinian salad featuring smoked sardines, paired with a duo of Iberian mushroom and cheese croquettes. The main course offered a tender ossobuco of Charolais cattle, accompanied by a red wine, followed by a dessert bun with yogurt ice cream and a splash of strawberry.

The evening’s wine was Mariscal, a red Grenache exclusive to Bodega Casa Sicilia 1707. The wine’s name echoes a motif found within the novel, adding another layer to the literary-inspired experience.
