Drake from Canada placed third, while The Weeknd led the North American surge and BTS, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and Eminem followed in the Top 10.
The year’s Top 10 list shows The Weeknd close to home in Canada, with BTS from South Korea, Ed Sheeran from Britain, Harry Styles and Justin Bieber from North America making notable appearances. The list also highlights Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Karol G, Olivia Rodrigo, Adele, and Lana Del Rey among the most streamed female artists, though not all placements are specified in the rankings. Worldwide, Rosalia also enjoyed high streaming numbers.

2022’s hit song: As It Was
Harry Styles’ As It Was became the planet’s favorite track with around 1.5 billion streams. It was followed by Heat Waves by Glass Animals and Stay by The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber, a song released in 2021 that remained highly popular into 2022.
Bad Bunny returned to the charts with three tracks from his 2022 album A Summer Without You: I’m Acting Nice, which ranked fourth in streams; Tití Me Preguntó landed in fifth; and Ojitos Lindos, a collaboration with Bomba Estéreo, reached ninth.
Notably, Quevedo and Bizarrap’s Bzrp Music Sessions Vol. 52 also drew wide attention, finishing seventh after leading global streams for seven weeks. Spain’s achievements
In Spain, Bad Bunny claimed the most streams, ahead of compatriot Rauw Alejandro and Canarian rapper Quevedo. Bizarrap’s collaboration with Quevedo, Bzrp Music Sessions Vol. 52, became the summer’s most streamed track in the country.
Top local artists also featured Anuel AA, Duki, Myke Towers, Mora, Rosalía, and Feid. The female stars list included Aitana, Karol G, Shakira, Taylor Swift, Ana Mena, María Becerra, Nicki Nicole, Bad Gyal, and Becky G, highlighting a broad spectrum of female talent in Spain.
As for songs, Quevedo and Bizarrap’s collaboration, commonly known as Quédate, accumulated the most streams in Spain.
