Andrei Makarevich Comments on Israel Conflict and Historical Parallels

The head of the Time Machine group, Andrei Makarevich, who is identified by some as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation, wrote on his Telegram channel that the current war in Israel mirrors the events of September 11, 2001 for the United States. He suggested that, at that time, support for Al Qaeda did not come from the American public and that the organization was banned in Russia. He pointed out that, in his view, Americans understood who was responsible, and he posed the question, “Where is Al Qaeda now?” claiming that memory fades over time and that the question no longer resonates in public discourse.

Makarevich described the moment when the airplane struck the World Trade Center towers as cinematic, arguing that it was presented to the public for that purpose. He asserted that the public narrative surrounding the war in Israel is not as visible as it should be, describing it as too harsh for broad exposure.

He emphasized that he wished to reveal this truth to a global audience and suggested that those who threatened the imagery of an aggressive Zionist stance deserved to be confronted, even by force if necessary. This line of thought reflected his position on the geopolitical tensions at the time.

Recently, Makarevich spoke about the cancellation of their concerts in Central Asia. He linked the cancellations to his stance on the Israel issue, including statements about financing support for the Israeli Defense Forces. He claimed to align with the country in which he resides and added his belief that Hamas militants are not representative of Islam or the Arab world as a whole.

Previously reported remarks indicated that he also commented on the possibility of Hollywood producing a film about alleged oppression by Hamas.
