Altea is embracing a new era of creativity with a bold digital revolution designed to nurture talent and foster an entrepreneurial mindset within the local arts scene. Building on the momentum of a successful prior edition, the Science Park of Elche at Miguel Hernández University (PCUMH) and the Altea Town Hall have joined forces again to present the second Create & Take event in the Orange district.
This edition gathers design-minded artists, the expanding digital community, and the NFT space for a day packed with knowledge sharing, exhibitions, and interactive experiences. Attendees will enjoy conferences, screenings of video art, video art installations, and live video performances. The festival will also showcase an active art market, contemporary exhibits, and arcade machine demonstrations. The event is scheduled for May 5 at 9:30 a.m. at the Palau Altea Center d’Arts. Entry is free with prior registration, and the program is designed to be accessible to both creators and enthusiasts alike.
This publication highlights the conference program and roundtable discussions addressing timely topics in digital art. It brings together artists, illustrators, and experts in crypto art who will share practical insights on launching and sustaining ventures in the digital art economy. Attendees can expect candid answers to common questions about crypto art and NFTs, as well as a clear snapshot of the current climate and opportunities in the industry.
The festival will feature a diverse set of exhibitions where works will be minted as NFTs. Sculptures will be displayed alongside an arcade machine showcase, offering visitors the chance to engage directly with interactive art experiences. In addition, a collection of art books will be on view and available for purchase, alongside lithographs created by students from the UMH Faculty of Fine Arts. This blend of physical and digital works invites visitors to explore the evolving relationship between traditional craft and new media.
Within the broader scope of the event, the fifth Altea Emprende Awards will be presented. This program, supported by the Altea Municipal Council and the UMH Science Park, recognizes budding entrepreneurs who have recently launched their ventures. The initiative includes mentoring, networking opportunities, hands-on business model workshops, and financial rewards for standout projects. Registration is currently open, inviting emerging founders to join a community that values creativity, resilience, and practical business skills.
