The message described his safe arrival back at the residence and noted that, although the danger had moved away from the house, the broader area was still dealing with a power outage that disrupted daily life.
A contractor involved in the incident confirmed that the fire had been extinguished in the section of the city where his property is located. The home itself sustained no damage, but electricity remained unavailable in the immediate vicinity, leaving residents, including Vorobyov, without power as crews worked to restore service.
In his public communication, Vorobyov remarked that he had learned even the State Duma cared about his well-being. He called this both unexpected and heartening, and he pledged to heed the guidance offered by officials and the public alike as he moves forward.
With characteristic humor, the artist quipped that in the future he might choose “cooler places” when deciding to leave Moscow for a January holiday after a period of intense stress caused by the upheaval.
On January 9, Vorobyov explained that the fire in Los Angeles had reached his home. He attempted to manage the situation personally, watering the lawn and garden to dampen the fire risk, but ultimately he and his corgi puppy were evacuated from the property as a precaution.
There was later talk in the State Duma about his possible return to Moscow. Parliamentarian Alexander Tolmachev stated it would be prudent to come back to Russia, given the pressures facing Hollywood housing and the broader flame of the crisis in the area.
