Alexander Gudkov shared thoughts about the possibility of bringing back the Evening Urgant program to Channel One during a recent interview with a well known broadcast personality. He echoed Ivan Urgant’s optimism that the project will return to television, though Gudkov admitted he could not specify when new episodes might begin filming. The comedian stressed that the show has not ended and that it simply needs to be reactivated with renewed effort. He believes that persistence will pay off, the approach will become sharper, and the overall result will improve, eventually satisfying audiences once again.
Gudkov has collaborated closely with Urgant and Dmitry Khrustalev for several years, contributing to the show’s distinctive humor and energy. After the onset of the conflict in Ukraine, reports circulated that Gudkov had left Russia. In September 2022, journalist Alena Zhigalova stated that Gudkov had moved to Turkey. He suggested that a possible criminal case connected to a controversial parody of the SHAMAN video I Am Russian might have influenced the decision to leave.
During the autumn of 2022, Gudkov spent time in Tashkent, and by November it became clear that he had returned to Russia. Upon his return, he resumed work on new projects and continued to expand his creative endeavors, signaling a steady commitment to his career in the Russian entertainment scene.
