Director Felix Umarov admitted this in a speech: TASSIt seems that actor Yuri Borisov has not changed much after receiving many international awards.
According to Umarov, Borisov remains a simple man, despite all his achievements. As the actor himself stated, he continues on his way, does his best and improves. The director believes that the artist can achieve cult status.
Umarov recalled how Borisov reacted to being nominated for the British BAFTA award with the words “Oh, that’s great.” He called his colleague in the film “Prophet”. “The Story of Alexander Pushkin” from a wonderful actor.
“It’s so rewarding to watch how he remains human despite all the noise that looms around him,” the director said.
