In an interview with socialbites.ca, the star of the series “Dashing” Gela Meskhi said that actor Konstantin Khabensky once advised her to “be confident” in choosing roles.
“I really like Konstantin Khabensky. When we played in Sobibor he and I talked a lot and thought about it. And in my opinion, he said something very true: “Trust yourself.” [Отвечая на вопрос, хочу ли сняться в комедии]: I don’t know how to participate in comedy, I don’t know how to joke. I can also do this with my close friends, I love Comedy Club and Ural Pelmeni. But going on stage with that is a no-no,” Meskhi admitted.
He also stated that he dreams of playing Konstantin Raikin in the future: “I always wanted to try to play my teacher Konstantin Raikin. While in Truffaldino from Bergamo. I don’t know how it will happen, but I want to pay tribute. I know this by heart.”
