Actor Alexander Petrov told presenter Vadim Vernik in an interview with the Actors Studio program about working with Polish-French director Roman Polanski. Show version available In Cinema Postal.
According to Petrov, Polanski reminded him of director Leonid Heifetz.
“Both in his eyes and in the way he treats this profession like a child. “At some point, I realized we spoke the same school language,” he shared.
Petrov noted that it was easy for him to work with Polanski, and for Polanski to work with him.
“He was 89 years old at that time, movies were already being made based on his biography, he is a cult personality, a cult movie. But the feeling of some naive children’s eyes, such greed for work – it’s incredible,” the actor concluded.
