Doctor Salvador Plasencia, who is accused of providing illegal ketamine to Friends star Matthew Perry, plans to return to his medical practice this week. The fact that the doctor will be returning to work, reports NBC.
Lawyer Plasencia announced that the doctor will go to work at the emergency clinic in Calabasas (Los Angeles, USA).
Plasencia has pleaded not guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine and is out on $100,000 bail. The judge overseeing his case has ordered him to post a sign on the door of his clinic informing potential patients of his legal case.
Plasencia’s patients will also be asked to sign a form at each visit stating that they understand the charges against them and consent to treatment.
According to investigators, Plasencia participated in the illegal supply of ketamine to the star by conspiring with the actor’s assistant Kenneth Iwamasa.
On October 28, 2023, Matthew Perry, 54, was found in the pool of his Los Angeles home. An autopsy determined that the actor’s health was impaired by the use of the drug ketamine, which led to a heart attack.
The day the Perry tragedy occurred asked Iwamasu gave him his first dose of ketamine at 8:30 a.m. He took his second dose about four hours later while watching a movie. The Friends star then requested a third, larger dose, and it would be his last.
