Manager Laysan Utyasheva accidentally played along with the scammers by telling her friends about their fake products. This was reported by mk.ru.
The 28-year-old assistant of the TV presenter allegedly ordered branded perfumes and other cosmetics from the attacker, who introduced himself as the manager of a large trading house. The manager gave the scammer a total of 88.5 thousand rubles.
Then she told Utyasheva’s personal make-up artist about the products, because she believed that if she invited another buyer, she would get one product for free and a discount of up to 70% on the entire range. She also ordered several products worth 25.5 thousand rubles. The make-up artist also brought her friend, who ordered 15.5 thousand rubles.
The young man admitted in a conversation with mk.ru that the products they purchased were “very different from the original.” The victims wrote a letter to the seller asking for a refund. They were promised that they would get a refund, but so far no one has received the money back. The victims appealed to the police, the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
On August 13, singer Larisa Dolina said that she was “deceived” by scammers. According to the artist, a criminal case was opened on this situation, the artist herself was recognized as a victim, and her apartment was confiscated.
