The manager of singer Andrei Danilko, known under the pseudonym Verka Serduchka, announced on Instagram (the owner of the Meta company is known as an extremist and is banned in Russia) that the concert at the ATLAS UNITED 2024 festival has been canceled.
The reason for the cancellation was that Danilko did not have time to prepare the planned special program ATLAS SPECIAL at the proper level due to the lack of important musicians.
“We apologize to the festival fans who waited for our performance. We believe we will meet again at the ATLAS festival next time!” – the artist’s manager concluded his words.
The official Telegram channel of ATLAS UNITED 2024 says that the organizers plan to raise 100 million hryvnia to purchase drones and provide support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is said that 15 percent of the profits from each ticket sold will be used directly to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In May 2024 reportedUkrainian listeners criticized Verka Serduchka for her Russian songs. Some fans decided to leave the concert for this reason. At the same event, Danilko was also noted to have performed an updated version of the song “Dancing Lasha Tumbai”, now called “Dancing Russia Farewell”.
