The adventurous comedy Desperate Heirs will be released in Russian cinemas on July 4. Film distribution company Pro:vzglyad reported this to socialbites.ca.
Director Juana Macias said: “I was intrigued to see how an unfeeling aristocratic family was able to find a new path for each other after a weekend of hate, all thanks to the lesson of a devoted nanny.” said director Juana Macias.
He stated that Desperate Heirs is about how family can destroy or save our lives.
The plot of the film follows the wealthy Catalan Gaillardo family, who gather at the family mansion to say goodbye to the nanny who raised them. The family refuses to honor the woman’s wishes in her will, and each of the heirs subsequently receives a secret letter that reveals the ugly truth about the main characters.
The film premiered in 2023. Filming took place in and around Barcelona. The cast includes Inma Cuesta (two-time Goya Award nominee), Diego Martin (3 Meters Above Sky, Netflix series Elite), Sarah Salamo, Alfonso Bassave (8 Dates, Grand Hotel series) and others.
