— Why has your youth arts festival become multinational this year?
— The answer to this question consists of two parts. On the one hand, 2024 has been declared the Year of the Family in Russia, and our entire large multinational country is one family that gathers on our site once a year in the person of festival participants. Why don’t you look at each other’s cultural traditions? On the other hand, we have received many suggestions and ideas about the national flavor of the country since the last festival. There is a demand in the industry for quality events dedicated to the art of different nations.
Without thinking, the team and I decided that it would be an interesting experience to bring together in Tavrida the young, fresh, multinational art that the new generation is rethinking. This is also valuable for festival guests: all of Russia in one place – get to know it, get inspired, and then go on a trip to get to know it better.

— Tell us about the program: What performances and events are planned?
Let me just point out that this is not traditionally a music festival. Yes, many famous musical titles will come, there will also be original artists, for example, Bashkir musician Marat Taturas, Yakut artist Olena UUTAI, ethnic group OIME, Karelian indie folk group TUARI, musical groups Vetkafolk and KhVOYA. But all guests will also be offered thematic film screenings, exhibitions of young artists, original installations and national theater performances.
We will show a wonderful theatrical project – the 5-episode series “Scenes from Russian Life”. Pushkin.” Each series brings together new aspects of classic works in a modern context.
According to tradition, the Art.Youth fair will also be held, where the national traditions of Russia’s regions and modern design will be brought together and the original products of young designers and artists will be exhibited. The main headlines of the fair will be major Russian brands and companies. And we will present our cooperation in the VK Store corner.

— The festival takes place in a unique place in Crimea. How does this location affect the atmosphere and schedule of the event?
We always try to ensure that the atmosphere is part of the program and that the beauty of the place where our project lives is compatible with the festival events. I hope that guests will not only enjoy the program, but also be inspired by where new creative projects are created.
— Last question: How to get to the festival?

Press service “Tavrida.ART”
