Singer Lena Katina, in an interview with RTVI on YouTube, complained about her poor performance as part of Tatu at Eurovision 2003.
“Let me tell you – and this is purely my personal opinion – I think we gave a disgusting performance. Our performance probably deserves a much lower ranking than we got. For me, Eurovision is my personal shame. We went there completely unprepared, we literally had several rehearsals,” said Katina.
He noted that Tatu was used to performing on film music, so it was difficult for them to perform live with almost no rehearsals. Katina believes that Tatu received lower scores from countries despite his poor performance. According to the artist, Channel One received a letter from England, in which they were assured that all 12 points were awarded to Russia, although the figure was zero on the air.
“Of course, when I heard all this from the outside, I was shocked and hysterical. I shouted that I was leaving show business. In a word, I am extremely dissatisfied with this event,” Katina summarized.
