Experts from the Russian Federation and Oman will begin the restoration of more than 200 ancient artifacts damaged during the conflict in Syria in 2024. This was stated by Gamal bin Hasan al Mousavi, Secretary General of the National Museum of Oman. RIA News.
He noted that Moscow and Muscat started cooperation in this field in 2019. Since then, experts from the two countries have restored 207 damaged artifacts.
“This year we will accept the second group of ancient objects from Syria; it will contain 200-300 objects,” the agency’s source added.
According to Al Mousavi, the restoration process will take two years.
