Russians began to listen to audiobooks more often. HiFi Streaming Sound’s press service reported this to socialbites.ca, citing its own survey.
According to the survey, approximately 68% of Russians prefer to listen to a work rather than read it. 31% of them explain that it saves time because you can do other things at the same time. 28% turn on audiobooks to take a break from working on the computer, and 26% prefer them over music and podcasts.
The most popular genres to listen to were fiction and nonfiction (25%), popular science books about psychology and motivation (21%), and detective stories (18%).
HiFi Streaming Sound conducted a survey for Book Donation Day, which will take place on February 14th.
Additionally, 54% of respondents said they liked receiving books as gifts. However, 29% are only satisfied with the books of those who know their taste. 31% rarely donate books they receive, 17% do so often due to different interests, and 11% almost always donate books.
According to the press service, a third of Russians (34%) give books to their loved ones. Respondents mostly give such gifts to children (38%), colleagues (30%) and parents (20%). 14% of respondents like to gift books for no reason.
Previously Russians named after their favorite movie characters.
