Music critic Evgeny Babichev called during a conversation news.ru singer Larisa Dolina is the best vocalist in Russia.
According to Babichev, Dolina’s vocals and technique have no equal on the domestic stage. She described the artist as a universal singer who can perform absolutely anything.
“Great technique, melismatic, incredibly high vibrato,” said the reviewer.
Babichev also believes that Polina Gagarina has strong vocals.
“A feeling of flight is created, especially in the high notes; This is a rare occurrence for vocalists. Some even start screaming at the top, but on Gagarina it is the vocals that bring pleasure to both Russian and European listeners,” the critic said.
Among the men, Babichev chose Grigory Leps. He believes that the artist resembles Vladimir Vysotsky with his “hysterical and expressive” singing style.
Babichev noted that the artists in rock music were guided by Valery Kipelov, the founder of the Aria group. According to him, Kipelov’s performance is one of the best in Russia in terms of filigree.
