The Tránsit room of the Aulario II of the University of Alicante hosts until February 15 Exhibition We are the WorldExhibition of Ecuadorian photographer and mountaineer Juan Sebastián Rodríguez. It is a collection of 22 large format photographs that have in common the Andes Mountains.

The artist states that this project is “in constant growth and was born out of my inspiration to find humanity’s connection with Mother Earth.” Photographs show the fiery Andes Mountains as the backbone of a continent. A chain of volcanoes that shapes the landscape and the people who live there. The author said, “Sometimes we forget that we belong to a fragile and constantly evolving planet, we forget our traditions, we forget that we come from our own land, we forget that there are more important things than money and technology, we forget that we are matter.” and soul.”

Juan Sebastián Rodríguez is an Ecuadorian mountaineer and photographer specializing in astro-photography, night landscape and nature photography. He has been teaching chemical photography and experimental processes at the Open Photographic Laboratory in Quito (Ecuador) for fourteen years. He also organized large-format exhibitions about his country’s volcanoes and mountains in France, Mexico and Ecuador in order to raise awareness about the use of environmental resources and protection of the environment.
