Rapper Oksimiron (known as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) may be banned from performing in Dubai due to his anti-Russian statements at a recent concert in an Arab club. Telegram channel reports this Puree.
According to the channel, the local regulatory authority is checking Oksimiron for inciting ethnic conflict and making public political statements, which are prohibited in the country. The artist could face a huge fine and a ban on entering the UAE. The grounds for the investigation were Oksimiron’s monologues about “tribal hatred”, Ukrainians and conflicts between the two countries.
In Dubai in November 2023 prohibited concerts of rapper Morgenstern (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation). According to the channel, the UAE government blacklisted the artist due to his status as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation and his violation of local bans and laws. The ban allegedly came into force a day after the publication of a new interview with journalist Ksenia Sobchak in which she described how she circumvented Arab restrictions.
