Actor Jacob Elordi has joined the cast of director Guillermo del Toro’s new project. This was reported by Deadline.
Guillermo del Toro will adapt the Frankenstein story. The Euphoria star will play a major role in the project, replacing Andrew Garfield, who left due to strike.
Joining the new Frankenstein are Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley and Christian Convery.
Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein follows Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but selfish scientist who brings a creature to life through a terrifying experiment. Creating a monster has tragic consequences for its creator.
Del Toro had been developing the Frankenstein project for a while and had long wanted to make a film based on the cult story. It is unknown whether its version will be a historical film or the action will take place in our time.
Del Toro writes, directs and produces with J. Miles Dale (Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities).
Previously Taylor Swift I didn’t appreciate The Golden Globes host joked about her new novel.
