The four elements, along with their friends, embark on a journey to defeat the Fire Lord and end centuries of war between nations.

It is the spiritual successor to the military miniseries “Band of Brothers” and “The Pacific” series, produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. “Masters of the Air” is adapted from Donald L. Miller’s documentary book of the same name.
The story follows the pilots of the US Air Force’s 100th Bomb Group, nicknamed the “Bloody 100th” due to their heavy losses during World War II. Four of the series’ nine episodes were directed by Cary Fukunaga. (“True Detective”, “No Time to Die”), the cast includes Austin Butler (“Elvis”), Callum Turner (“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald”), Anthony Boyle (“Tetris”), Barry Keoghan (“Salt burn”), Shuti Gatva (“Sex Education”, “Doctor Who”) and others.

Psychological thriller from Alfonso Cuaron (“Children of Men”, “Gravity”, “Novel”) is about a famous journalist who discovers that he has become one of the main characters of a novel that reveals his big secret. Starring Cate Blanchett (“Elizabeth”, “Aviator”), one of the cameramen was Emmanuel Lubezki, who shot all of Cuaron’s films except “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” and “Roma.”

A spin-off of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, the action takes place 10,000 years before the original film. The plot centers around siblings Vale and Thule Harkonnen, who face forces that threaten the future of humanity. They found the Bene Gesserit female order, whose members undergo special training to acquire incredible abilities. The main characters are played by Emily Watson (“Chernobyl”) and Olivia Williams (“Ghost”, “Crown”).

Hollywood (the Chinese released their own in early 2023) film adaptation of science fiction author Liu Cixin’s series about humans’ first contact with aliens. The series is written by Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss.

Long-term animated structure in the genre of “Ancient Slavic cyberpunk” (the first trailer appeared in 2018) – about a world where heroes, evil spirits, robots, neon domes, digital harps and carbon bast shoes coexist. The story revolves around a hybrid hero investigating a brutal crime related to the princely family.
“True Detective: Nightland” created by Issa Lopez and Nic Pizzolatto
Where and when to watch: On HBO – starting January 15
The return of Nic Pizzolatto’s crime anthology (he was replaced as showrunner by Issa Lopez, who directed all six episodes). The new series will be set in an Alaskan town and the plot will revolve around the disappearance of eight scientists from a research station. The partners leading the case were played by Jodie Foster (“The silence of the lambs”) and boxer Kali Reis (“Hostage: Find the Missing”).

Matt Reeves’ adaptation of Batman follows gangster Oz “Penguin” Cobblepot’s rise to power in Gotham’s criminal underworld. Colin Farrell returns to play the charismatic rogue (“Lie low in Bruges”), the show stars Cristin Milioti (“How I Met Your Mother”). Penguin is being developed by Lauren Lefranc, who worked on the outstanding but little-known sci-fi series Impulse.

The adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky (recognized by the media in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent) “Swamp” was carried out by the team of the series. The action takes place in modern St. Petersburg, where the old lady moneylender is referred to as the “old lady microlender.” It was transferred to St. Petersburg.
Raskolnikov is played by Ivan Yankovsky, star of the films “Text”, “Marshes”, “Fisher” and “A Boy’s Word”, and Sonya Marmeladova is played by Alena Mikhailova. (“Chicks”, “Tchaikovsky’s Wife”). The series is dedicated to the life of those who live in the government palace in a European country where an authoritarian regime is collapsing. Kate Winslet (“Titanic”) depicts a chancellor whose position is threatened by civil unrest.

Another film adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s novel “The Talented Mr. Ripley” stars “Fleabag” star and “Sherlock” Andrew Scott in the title role. In 1960s New York, a wealthy man hires a young man named Tom Ripley to persuade his prodigal son to return home from Italy. However, their meeting is the first step into “a complicated life full of deceptions”.

It is adapted from James Clavell’s novel Shogun, which is about 17th century Japan. At the center of the story are two heroes and a heroine: John Blackthorn, an English sailor-adventurer who finds himself in the Land of the Rising Sun as a result of a shipwreck; Toranaga, the powerful and cunning daimyo (the name given to elite samurai) who made Blackthorn his right-hand man; and Mariko, a samurai who tries to prove herself despite her dishonorable origins. They are played by Cosmo Jarvis (“Arguments of Reason”), Hiroyuki Sanada (Japanese for “Ring”) and Anna Sawai (“Ruler”: Legacy of Monsters”).

Black comedy spy thriller from Park Chan-wook (“Old Man”, “Decision to Leave”) Adapted from the novel of the same name by Viet Thanh Nguyen. Hoa Xuande (Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop) stars as a Viet Cong spy who infiltrates a refugee community in 1970s Los Angeles at the end of the Vietnam War and is torn between loyalty to his homeland and a new life. Many of the antagonists in the series are Robert Downey Jr. Animated by. (“Oppenheimer”).

The rest of humanity takes shelter in shelters built for just such an eventuality. Two centuries after the end of the world, a girl named Lucy (Ella Purnell – Hornets, Mysterious)Having lived in one of these shelters all his life, he rises to the surface and sets out to plow the dangerous lands of the Wasteland that was once Los Angeles.

Drama series starring Lulu Wang, the director and screenwriter of The Farewell with Awkwafina. The story will follow “the vibrant life of a close-knit immigrant community.” Nicole Kidman directs the cast of the series (“The Clock,” “Moulin Rouge!”).
