Artist Nikas Safronov’s team is conducting an internal investigation into the theft of an NFT Christmas tree worth 3 million rubles. Telegram channel reports this Puree.
The digital painting appeared on one of the sites with publication notes, advertising – it is sold without the permission of the artist. Moreover, the price of the stolen NFT tree is higher than the price set by Safronov. The advertisement states the cost of 8 million rubles. The buyer is also given a New Year’s card with the artist’s signature.
According to Mash, Safronov did not contact the police about the theft. Now the artist’s team is trying to figure out what happened on their own.
Safronov created an NFT Christmas tree two years ago. The painting was created in collaboration with 250 other artists who decorated the tree with toys. According to the plan, the work would be sold for 3 million rubles and the money obtained would be used to develop young talents.
