The eighth edition of the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival is gearing up. The film event, which will be held between 13-20 April 2024, Registration for the Short Film Script Competition is open until January 20 2024.
The rules of the festival state that the competition is open to any fiction, animation or documentary short film script written in both Spanish and Valencian. The theme of the scripts is free, both original works and literary adaptations are allowed, no more than 20 pages (including the cover), in Courier font, size 12 and those that have not started shooting Ahead of the start of the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival 2024.
In addition, by participating in this competition, authors acknowledge that they own 100% of the copyrights of the submitted works. This year, The amount of the award for the best short film script has increased significantly, reaching 1,500 euros.
Prize
Benidorm film festival has announced that the best short film script submitted will be awarded 1,500 euros plus a commemorative prize.. This amount will be paid via bank transfer in favor of the real or legal person who registered.subject to legal withholdings determined by current law.
According to event sources, all awards and trophies will be awarded to the winners or their representatives at the final gala.The organization is not responsible for the transportation costs of the cups for those who do not attend the festival. Additionally, the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival logo and awards shown as the winner of the 2024 screenplay competition should appear in the credits of the future short film.
Inscription
The competition is open to screenwriters from all over the world. The registration fee is 13 Euros and each author has the opportunity to submit a maximum of three works. If a screenwriter wants to register more than one work, the fee for the second work is 10 Euros and the fee for the third work is 8 Euros.
The festival has prepared a preparation acceptance form in which the authors must attach the script in PDF format, where they emphasize that the author’s name should not appearand payment receipt via Paypal.
