The director remembered how he worked on the film “12” in 2007. Menshikov was supposed to play the main role in the film, but two days before the start of shooting he refused to participate in the filming. As a result, the role was given to actor Sergei Makovetsky.
According to the director, he was sensitive to Menshikov’s action.
“You cannot be neutral on this issue. This was a serious blow,” Mikhalkov said.
