Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez will star in the film adaptation of the 1933 Broadway musical Kiss of the Spider Woman. This was reported by Variation.
The original production took place in a prison in Argentina in 1981. In the story, while two prisoners are trying to come together, one of them creates horror movie scenarios in his mind with the participation of Spider Woman.
The film was directed by Bill Condon, known for his work in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Shooting is planned to take place in spring 2024.
The musical, Kiss of the Spider Woman, is based on the novel by Manuel Puig. It was first filmed in 1985, for which actor William Hurt (“Avengers: Infinity War”) received an Oscar.
