TV presenter Mikhail Kozhukhov said that he was visited several times with the idea of emigrating from Russia – the first time in 1992. The host of the program “Around the World” talked about this RTVI.
“I was in Brazil. I realized that I didn’t really want to go back. But it was Manilov’s thought that did not capture me so much,” Kozhukhov recalled.
The TV presenter noted that he had “difficulty” in emigrating – he has to constantly engage in work or at least simulate activity.
“And everything I can do is somehow connected only with the Russian language. And now I can’t imagine myself, how and what to do. So for now I don’t really want to go anywhere [уезжать]”said the journalist.
In the same interview, Kozhukhov admitted on camera that he quit his job because of daily humiliations. He explained that at one point he got bored of “hanging around in offices” and began to engage in other activities.
The host of the popular programs “In Search of Adventure” and “Around the World” began writing books and organized his own “Mikhail Kozhukhov Travel Club” and tours of other writers to foreign countries.
