The shooting of Roman Fokin’s series “Rector” with Vladimir Kanukhin, star of the films “Millionaire from Balashikha” and “Cicadas”, was completed in Moscow. The press service of the Premier platform reported this to socialbites.ca.
The shooting of the series “Rector” started in the first half of autumn and lasted almost two months. It mostly took place at the MISiS University of Science and Technology – it became the scientific institute where the main character studied.
The main character of the series is Lavrentiy Semenovich Timoshin (Lavrik) – a young, promising, but very anxious candidate of science, working on a cure for fear. He, too, is afraid of everything, from his mother’s anger to changes at his institute. Change overtakes Lavrik when he is forced to become rector.
“We have been working on this project for a very long time, almost two years. And finally he reaches the final stage and prepares to leave. This is true happiness. The shooting was very intense, during these two months all our actors and the rest of the crew did their best, resulting in a really interesting series that has a great sense of humor about the topic of the day, but also tells a love story. We really hope that the young rector will fascinate the audience,” says series producer Zhan Prosyanov.
The eight-episode project will be released on the Premier platform in spring 2024. The project was produced by Otkritie Studio of Creative Initiatives with support from the Internet Development Institute (ANO IRI).
He previously starred as young Trump in the political biopic invited Marvel’s star.
