Director Denis Villeneuve has completed the editing of Dune: Part Two and its running time may be 3 hours and 15 minutes. The portal reports this Reel World.

On the film’s IMDb page, the film’s running time is listed as over three hours. However, American film critic Jordan Ruimi, citing his sources, emphasizes that Villeneuve shortened the sequel by “15-20 minutes”. He believes that Warner Bros. will not allow a filmmaker to release a film lasting more than 3 hours.

Dune 2 continues where the first left off; Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) finally reaches Chani (Zendaya) and joins forces with the Fremen to defeat the evil Harkonnens. The sequel also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård and Dave Bautista.

New cast members include albino Austin Butler as Fade Routh; Christopher Walken as the Emperor; Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan Corrino; Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot; and Suheila Yaqub as Shishakli.

Dune: Part Two was originally planned to be released on November 3, but was postponed to March 15, 2024.
