Vera Alentova, star of the movie “Moscow Doesn’t Believe in Tears” and widow of Vladimir Menshov, said that their daughter Yulia sometimes confuses the honesty of her parents’ communication with harshness towards each other. His words are quoted aif.ru.
According to Alentova, she and Menshov got married when they were still children, when neither spouse had time to earn “any clothes.”
“They said if it was bad, it was bad. Even if someone has already made it to the podium. We’ve lived like this our whole lives. Our daughter Yulia also thought that we were quite harsh on each other. This surprised us. Because we were not harsh, we were honest. And this quality was preserved until the end,” said the actor.
Alentova admitted that her marriage to Menshov fell apart for a while, but the couple soon reunited.
“And the youth’s habit of saying what you think perhaps continued until those days when it was necessary to soften critical statements towards each other. But things didn’t work out that way for us,” the star stressed.
The actor stated that his marriage is normal and emphasized that he did not notice any difficulties in it:
“Maybe because all difficulties come from outside and we experience them together.”
