Born to a Russian family in Tbilisi, Georgia, the artist was considered a child prodigy and gave his first concerts at the age of 11. He was awarded the “Caeilia Award” for his Brahms Sonatas and the “Diapason d’Or” award for his recordings of Liszt’s works.. Other notable recordings include Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto with the New York Philharmonic and Kurt Masur, Chopin’s Piano Concerto with the Czech Philharmonic and Vladimir Askenazy, and Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.
Her new CD PARISPerformed works by Ravel, Debussy and Enescu recently released by Berlin-based record label eaSonus. His next musical project will include all of Schubert’s Piano Sonatas and will be published by eaSonus.
