Valery Pereverzev’s film “Brother 3” will be released in Russian cinemas on November 23. This was reported by Kinopoisk.
According to the publication, “Brother 3” is in post-production – audio and credits are being finalized. The film was distributed by HHG film company. According to Pereverzev, his work has nothing to do with Alexei Balabanov’s duology “Brother”. The plot of the upcoming movie is based on the Shakespearean story of Romeo and Juliet.
“I am one step closer to realizing my dream: to glorify my hometown and the greatness of the Soviet and Russian school of cinematography,” said Pereverzev.
“Brother 3” is the debut work of Valery Pereverzev. The film stars rapper Ptah, artists Vasily Karpenko and Alexandra Voznesenskaya, French actor Olivier Siu, Julia Roberts’ brother Eric, as well as twins Vladimir and Yuri Torsuev, known from the Soviet television movie “Adventures in Electronics”.
“The main conflict in the film is the struggle of social classes and the accompanying stereotypes of society that interfere with the most important thing – love,” said the director.
