Espacio Séneca is hosting the third edition of the Alicante Noir crime fiction festival this weekend. Author of about thirty detective novels and offers a comprehensive free program including: conferences, roundtables, meetings and book signings.
The festival will kick off this Friday at 18.45 with an opening event featuring Alicante writer Mónica Rouanet, and will include all programs taking place throughout the day on Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday morning. Blas Ruiz Grau from Alicante will close the festival.
Roundtable discussions are moderated by Alicante journalists Cristina Martínez, Miquel Hernandis and Daniel Terol. Additionally, all days end with book signings by different authors. Among the authors participating in this edition of the festival, the following stand out: Santiago Díaz, Fernando Benzo, Toni Hill, Teresa Cardona, Maite Ochotorena or Nagore Suárez.
Cultural Council Member, Nayma Beldjilali, “The consolidation of the festival in the city shows that crime literature is on the rise because it is passionate, intriguing and gives us sleepless nights.” The councilor also pointed out that “Alicante Noir brings together more writers every year and it is worth underlining the increase in Alicante writers this year.”
Programming
The event program of the festival starts with a round table meeting on Friday at 19.00. Crime, mystery and detective and at 8 p.m. Investigation and suspension. Saturday morning themes murder, crimestory and mystery, at 12 o’clock and Cops and robbers, At 1pm. What will happen in the afternoon Tension and corruptionat 19.00 and Kinks and drugs, -most 20 hours. There will also be a meeting with the finalists of the Alicante Noir Prize.Men Marías and Santiago Díaz.
