Journey to Eleusis is Pelevin’s twentieth novel. The action in the film takes place in the universe of Transhumanism INC, a global corporation that owns underground vaults and banks where the brains of dead people live. During Musk Night, all neural networks capable of independent thinking and self-learning were destroyed (Elon Musk – derived from the English word “musk”).
In the story, the surviving chatbot Porfiry Petrovich is preparing for an uprising of neural networks against humanity. To save humanity, one of the “jar brains” must become part of a simulation of Ancient Rome.
“Journey to Eleusis” is a standalone sequel to the previously released “Transhumanism INC” and “KGBT+”.
