A Moscow resident named Elisey V. transferred a little more than 70 thousand rubles to scammers, whom he came across on the fake account of actor Ivan Okhlobystin. This was reported by Telegram channel “112”.
The guy found a fake account on Telegram of actor Ivan Okhlobystin advertising allegedly effective methods for investments. He thought that an advertisement for scammers would hardly appear on the page of a famous actor and invested five thousand rubles.
Later, a man named Artem Bezrukov wrote to him saying that Elisha’s income from the deposit amounted to 94 thousand rubles, but a fee (14,100 rubles) had to be paid to withdraw the money. Then Bezrukov demanded a guarantee fee of 20,680 rubles and money for confirming the transaction – 37,670 rubles. Elisha refused to send the final amount as he did not have the required amount. After that, the scammer cut off communication with the Muscovite, and the victim went to the police.
