Fashion historian and host of the Fashion Sentence show, Alexander Vasiliev, said that the departure of brands from the Russian market partly influenced the fact that the program did not return to the air. Transmits words “Lenta.ru”.
“Before the special military operation began, all advertisements on Channel One, and especially in our program, were directed at women: cosmetics, perfumes, nail polish, underwear, pads. They were all Western. All these advertisers left, and naturally they were the main financiers of our show, ”said the TV presenter.
He admitted that a one-minute ad in “Fashion Sentence” cost the producers €60,000.
According to Vasiliev, the format of the show is also outdated: if it previously focused on foreign fashion, then after February 2022 the channel management wanted to focus on national fashion. The TV presenter believes that this is quite difficult to cover many topics.
At the same time, the fashion historian expressed his desire to return to the Fashion Sentence in case Channel One decides to air the program again.
“It is not my desire to be here. It must be a desire of the Channel One administration, the desire of the financiers and the desire of politicians to see us at the head of fashionable opinion leaders in Russia,” Vasilyev said.
Fashion Sentence closed on February 24, 2022. This was because Channel One gave up its entertainment content. On the same day, the programs “Let’s get married”, “Live healthy” and “Urgent Evening” were canceled.
10 July it happened It is known that the program “Let’s Get Married” will return to Channel One.
