The European Commission approved government support for farmers in the amount of PLN 210 million, Agriculture Minister Robert Telus announced on social media on Monday. He added that subsidies will be given for seed potatoes.
The EC approved another government aid for Polish farmers in the context of the Russian aggression against Ukraine. As part of the support, subsidies will be granted for the purchase of seed potatoes. Government support for grants is PLN 210 million

As previously announced by the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, the government has already allocated PLN 15.4 billion to an aid package for Polish farmers. Most of the money went to fertilizer subsidies.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, paid and implemented support for farmers related to the war in Ukraine amounts to PLN 15.425 billion, of which PLN 2.6 billion in 2022, PLN 10.036 billion this year and PLN 2.789 billion in subsequent years.
The largest amount went to fertilizer subsidies: PLN 4.7 billion for fertilizer subsidies purchased between May 16, 2022 and May 15 this year and PLN 2.6 billion for fertilizer subsidies purchased from September 1, 2021 to May 15, 2022.
PLN 2.778 billion was allocated to liquidity loans. Farmers can apply for them at banks that cooperate with ARMA. They are: Bank Spółdzielczy w Brodnica, Bank Polskiej Spółdzielczości SA, SGB-Bank SA, BNP Paribas Bank Polska SA, BNP Paribas Bank Polska SA, Krakowski Bank Spółdzielczy, Santander Bank Polska SA, Credit Agricole Bank Polska SA
PLN 2 billion is the aid amount for wheat and buckwheat producers who sold grain after April 15 this year. PLN 600 ml went to support wheat, buckwheat and maize producers who sold grain between December 1, 2022 and April 14 this year.
