– In the “Baby Tour” you played Gelya, a mother of many children, a more responsible and prudent heroine, if you compare it with her friends. What kind of Gel do you personally see?
– Indeed, I consider Gelya a responsible person – she is a wife, a mother. Yes, more material, grounded. She agreed to go on an adventurous journey after everyone else. Friends decided to change something in their life, and Gelya acts on the principle “if everything, then me”. Plus, of course, Gelya also did not quite like her own reality – for example, how her husband behaved.
– Did the authors of the project manage to create funny images of women without belittling the heroines?
— I haven’t seen the whole finished series yet, but I hope we’ve managed to show real people – women who have their own questions about life, dreams and aspirations, the limitations they encounter on the way to fulfill their aspirations. these desires
– Do you think that the story shown in the series may have happened to women from another country? Or maybe it can even happen to men?
– Of course this can’t happen to men because this is the story of women who are going to give birth. I think it’s not a matter of nationality, it’s more of a matter of opinion. Such an idea was popular in the 2000s – to give birth abroad, to leave for a better life. Different countries have their own ideas that are fashionable from time to time.
– The life of the heroes in the series is not so rosy: monotonous work on a poultry farm in Siberia, husbands are not a gift, but a lack of love. And this “kindness” of the project that the creators are talking about comes precisely from the friendship between the heroines and their eternal faith in themselves. Is there a message in this that the person is not a warrior in the field?
– In any case, every viewer reads his message while watching, this has always been and always will be. For me personally, kindness is in relationships between people. If people treat each other humanely and kindly despite the circumstances, that’s the most important thing.
– Speaking of good manners: You admitted that a friendly atmosphere prevailed on set, everyone tried to support each other in difficult circumstances. What was the hardest part of making a movie?
– Weather. It’s hard to shoot when it’s cold. We were in thermal underwear, with warm insoles, all kinds of other insulation. According to the plot, the arrival of the girls was in the summer, respectively, in the frame we had to be in summer clothes and shoes. But the thing is, we filmed the arrival in the cold fall. It was not very comfortable.
– Since we’re talking about a comedy movie, do you remember a funny incident that happened during filming?
– I remember we were in a bar in Kitai-Gorod, in the center of Moscow, walking from the wagons we were made up with fake stomachs to the shooting place. People around thought we were really pregnant women. It was funny and cute.
– Despite your outward resemblance to Reese Witherspoon, whom you admire as an actress, you have admitted that you have different roles, which are discussed by fans. What is your role?
– I’m a versatile actor and that’s nice. There are both comic characters and dramatic roles, lyrical heroes. I hope this list expands, but it’s already pretty impressive so it’s hard for me to say anything about the role, it’s a pretty fuzzy story now.
– You can even be imagined as a member of some superhero. By the way, if you had the chance to act in an existing movie, what role would you like to play?
– I would like to play Superwoman, it would be interesting (to laugh). In general, I used to act in genre films, I was interested. To be honest, I don’t know much about comic book characters, so it’s hard to name a particular movie.
– Is the script or the director more important to you when choosing projects?
– I can refuse if the script does not interest me or the subject is not understood, if it does not touch me. But from experience, if it’s a famous and good director, it’s very unlikely to have a bad script, because good directors carefully choose what they’re going to work on. Further – the question is whether the story suits me personally, which character should be played. In general, there are many nuances.
– Among your future projects is the movie “First Summer”, in which most of the film crew are newcomers to society. How did you find each other – and why did you agree to play?
– The producer, the director wanted to work with me and invited me to the project, I was very pleased. I like the script, although the role is small, I play the mother of the protagonist. I came to the shooting in St. Petersburg for a couple of days, we quickly filmed everything. It was very friendly and comfortable. In general, it is great to work with young talented guys. I have no prejudices about first-timers: After all, they’re making their first movie today and in five years they could very well be big. Such acquaintances are both pleasant and useful.
– Do you think it is easier for young people to keep up with the industry than it used to be?
— It seems to me that today’s youth are freer and more active than they were 10-15 years ago. They quickly think and understand what is happening. Again, social networks are developing and processes are progressing faster with them. I think it’s easier for young people now. The only advice I can give is to be yourself and go for it.
– You were playing in the “Theater.doc” scene. Do you plan to continue working in the theatre, albeit in a different theatre?
– So far I have no need and desire to return to work in the theater. I will find such an opportunity if they appear, but so far I am not making plans. Now I have slightly different interests.
– You are also engaged in dubbing, although it has been less common in recent years. Is it possible to say that dubbing is a more labor-intensive job? After all, you can only use your voice.
– It’s just a different job, involving slightly different “moving muscles”, let’s just say. You work with the sound and emotional apparatus. For me, this is an interesting business, but now there are fewer foreign films at the box office – accordingly less business in this field. Vocalization has its own nuances, it requires certain skills, speed of reaction. I really liked it, it always turned out fun and interesting.
Do you watch movies in their original language or dubbed?
– I usually watch in the original language so you can hear the player better. Emotions are read, there is a complete understanding of how the actor broadcasts his character. But if the dubbing is good, I can watch it in dubbing. When dubbing myself, I always try to convey the emotional content of the original film as high as possible, this is very important for the correct perception of the character.
– Many people cannot listen to audio recordings because the sound is heard differently. What do you think about your audio recordings?
– I’m already used to it. It used to be weird, now I’m calm about it.
– Tell us about the continuation of the series “Brothers”. Are there any significant differences between the first season and the second season?
– This is a continuation of the story, a movement, a new stage in the life of each hero. We will see what new circumstances arise, what new trials we have to face, what new opportunities arise to get to know ourselves and interact with the realities in which the heroes live. My heroine in the new season, Masha, will have to approach herself to understand who she is and what she wants. Love and friendship are waiting for their trials – on these fronts there will be many interesting events. She is a lively girl, so it will not be boring. Overall, this season will be even more fun. I really love my character and this project, I can’t wait to see what we can do.
