Historian Silvano Vincheti is sure that Italian painter Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa on the floor of the Romito di Laterina bridge. It is located in the city of Arezzo and runs through the Arno River in Tuscany. It has been reported Guard.
Vincheti reviewed historical documents, drone footage, and compared the canvas to photographs of the area. After that, the historian noted that da Vinci fully depicted the ancient Etruscan-Roman bridge Romito di Laterina behind the left shoulder of Gioconda, and not the bridges of Buriano or Bobbio, which were previously assumed by scholars.
According to Vincheti, the bridge depicted in the Mona Lisa has four arches, like that of Romito di Laterina. Buriano or Bobbio bridges have six or more arches. Now only one arch from the da Vinci painting has been preserved near the bridge.
According to the archival documents of the Medici family, Romito di Laterina was a busy and active bridge between 1501 and 1503. At this time da Vinci was first in the service of Cesare Borgia in the Val d’Arno region, then with the Florentine politician Piero Soderini. And this bridge made it possible to shorten the artist’s path between the cities of Arezzo, Florence and Fiesole by several hours.
Previously reportedthat scientists have uncovered the secret of the paintings of Leonardo da Vinci and other Renaissance artists.
