Prokhor Chaliapin admitted that he turned to numerologists and astrologers when choosing a nickname 12:41

Singer Prokhor Chaliapin on the broadcast of the Genotek YouTube channel admitted that it was no accident that he chose the name Fyodor Chaliapin for a pseudonym.

“I saw a reflection of myself in Fyodor Ivanovich Chaliapin: a simple origin, originally from the Russian countryside, from poverty, alone – I had no one to trust,” explained the artist. Chaliapin also noted that his family had fairly simple occupations. The singer’s mother is a cook, and her father is a factory worker.

According to Chaliapin, he turned to numerologists and astrologers when choosing a nickname, which later became his official name. “This is how my noisy nickname, which has long been in my passport, was born,” he shared.

At birth, Prokhor Chaliapin was named Andrei Andreevich Zakharenkov. She came to Moscow at the age of 15, and then took part in the Morning Star competition for young artists and became a finalist in the Star Factory-6 project.

Formerly Anastasia Volochkova judicial Prokhor as Chaliapin’s new fiancee. Chaliapin supported his colleague’s words and noted that they were “a wonderful couple.”
