Vivian Trimble, keyboardist and vocalist of ’90s rock band Luscious Jackson, has died at the age of 59. It has been reported deadline.
“We are sad to announce the passing of our dear friend and band member Viv. We did not expect this. He was a great friend, a talented musician and choreographer, ”she said. The cause of death of the artist was not specified.
Luscious Jackson, named after an NBA player, was founded in 1991. Trimble appeared on the band’s first two albums, Natural Ingredients in 1994 and Fever In Fever Out in 1996. Trimble left the band before the release of Electric Honey in 1999 and did not attend Luscious Jackson’s 2011 reunion.
Trimble and bandmate Jill Cunniff collaborated with The Kostars and released the album “Klassic” in 1996 with the musicians. The keyboardist has also collaborated with Josephine Wiggs of The Breeders—a duo called Dusty Trails, who released a self-titled album in 2000.
