British rock band The Smile, formed by Radiohead members Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood and Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner, are working on their second studio album. This was announced by the musicians themselves in an email newsletter announcing additional performances as part of a North American summer tour.

The Smile project emerged during the coronavirus pandemic. The band’s debut took place in 2021 as part of the Glastonberry online festival. On May 13, 2022, the band released their first studio album, “A Light for Attracting Attention”.
Previously Radiohead drummer Phil Selway promised that the band would release new material in the coming years.
