Dronov noted that he would not have succeeded among the audience if his patriotism was not sincere. “If that were the case, I think my story would have ended quickly. Not even in the first song, but in the very first line. People simply wouldn’t listen. The viewer decides what becomes a hit and what goes to spam,” he said, adding that his “Let’s Get Up” video was watched more than 40 million times a year on YouTube after monetization was blocked.
SHAMAN claims that its image was not specially designed. “How can you imagine all this? The grown-up uncles gathered, took their seats and decided: let’s find a man, give him the nickname SHAMAN, let’s do his hair in rasta and teach him to sing patriotic songs. So?” she laughed. “And what kind of project am I? Absolutely natural, pure history … “- the performer concluded his words.
