‘I am Rome’ by Santiago Posteguillo (Edition B), has been best selling novel of 2022, followed by the ‘Black book of Hours’ by Eva García Saenz de Urturi (Planeta); and ‘Violeta’ by Isabel Allende (Plaza & Janes).
The three novels have been combined into one of the best-selling books of the year, sources from the Spanish Confederation of Booksellers’ Guilds and Associations (Cegal) reported to EFE this Monday. psychiatrist Marian Rojas Estapé (Espasa).
The Christmas best-selling novels have been Dolores Redondo’s latest. ‘I’m waiting for the flood’ (Destiny), released last November; ‘Everything will be better’by Almudena Grandes (Tusquets); ‘Revolution’Work by Arturo Pérez-Reverte (Alfaguara) and winner of the 2022 Planeta Prize, ‘Far from Louisiana’by Luz Gabas.
According to its publisher, the historical novel ‘Roma is me’ has surpassed 180,000 copies sold and is included in all its formats: published in Spanish by Roman Ediciones B, in Catalan by the Rosa dels Vents label, and released in e-book and audiobook format.
The novel is the first part of a great story about the life of Julio César, undertaken by Posteguillo. It was also broadcast in all Spanish-speaking countries.it also topped the bestseller charts in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Chile over the past year.
