Soviet, Ukrainian and Russian actor Yuri Dubrovin, considered one of the “kings of the chapter”, has passed away at the age of 83. It has been reported “Russian newspaper”.
The cause of the artist’s death was not disclosed.
Dubrovin was born on August 1, 1939 in Ryazan region, Ryazhsk, graduated from VGIK in 1962 and moved to Kiev to work at the Dovzhenko film studio.
Since 1979, the artist has worked as a film actor in the Kyiv theater studio, and twenty years later, in 1999, he returned to his native Ryazhsk.
In 2006, while filming in Kiev, Dubrovin suffered two strokes and was forced to stay in the Ukrainian capital, where he was cared for by his ex-wife.
Since 2014, the actor moved to Germany, where the family of his son Arkady lives. It was noted that his left arm and leg did not heal after the blows he received. He also starred in the short film Undershoot, one of the first works of his grandson, film director Ivan Dubrovin, in 2016.
