The festival program also featured a new work by Sokurov, an experimental animated cartoon using deepfake technology. The plot describes the speeches of Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Joseph Stalin, and Winston Churchill in Purgatory. Images were captured using archival records and artificial intelligence.
