“Bull’s Head” Statue by Dashi Namdakov
Dashi Namdakov is a jeweler, artist, graphic artist and one of the most unusual and famous sculptors in our country. The author works in a modern style, but remains faithful to the Buryat traditions of his ancestors. Its amazing objects are majestic mythical creatures, images of spirits and artifacts that seem to come from other worlds. Dashi Namdakov tries himself for the first time and immediately on the main theater stage of the country as a theater artist. For the project “Labyrinth” he creates the sculpture “Bull’s Head”, which will be the center of the stage design of the ballet “Minotaur”. The huge statue made of Karelian birch symbolizes bad fate and formidable natural elements, very close to the sculptor.
Choreographer Patrick de Bana

Following in the footsteps of her mentor, de Bana tries to rethink the art of ballet. He also calls Vaslav Nijinsky, who discovered a new understanding of the role of men in ballet, as his idol. This is not the first time De Bana has performed in our country: he choreographed the performances of “Before It Rained” with Svetlana Zakharova in the lead role and “Cleopatra” with the Kremlin Ballet artists at the Bolshoi Theatre. Now Bana will be performing the ballet “Minotaur”, the final part of the “Labyrinth” trilogy.
