Wildberry officials addressed rumors in a recent interview, denying claims that marketplace vendors can access a user’s purchase history. Earlier, a social media post circulated showing a private exchange between an entrepreneur and a customer who bought his products. In that exchange, the seller allegedly became upset about a negative review and allegedly exposed details of the customer’s recent orders. Wildberry asserted that the screenshots were fabricated and that the platform does not share or reveal buyer histories to sellers.
The company stated clearly that the information circulating online is not accurate. Sellers do not have access to individual purchase histories of users. A brand representative allegedly fabricated a story about past orders, and Wildberry confirmed that they had spoken with that individual about the improper nature of such communications with customers. The firm emphasized that firing up conversations that reveal private purchase data is not tolerated and will be addressed internally.
Platform spokespeople also noted that this is not the first occasion on which misleading information about Wildberry has appeared on social networks. The company has repeatedly countered rumors and provided public assurances about how user data is handled and safeguarded.
In related news, Tatyana Bakalchuk, the founder who previously led the Wildberry business, has signaled plans that the brand is ready for updates. Those familiar with the company say a rebranding could refresh the public image and clarify the company’s commitment to privacy, security, and respectful customer service. The discussions around rebranding come as the firm continues to adapt to evolving market expectations and regulatory requirements, aiming to maintain trust with buyers while supporting sellers in a transparent marketplace environment.
