Sberbank Green Day Offers: Free Transfers for Loved Ones and Call Screening

Overview of Sberbank’s Green Day Promotions and Security‑Focused Services

Sberbank is offering a limited-time perk for customers who enable the incoming call screening feature in the SberBank Online app before November 12. Eligible users will receive a bonus of 300 SberThanks, and the transfer-monitoring service for loved ones will be provided at no charge. This initiative is part of Sberbank’s Green Day campaign, a celebration of the bank’s birthday traditions that has continued annually since 2018.

According to Sberbank, the incoming call screening feature is designed to identify fake or fraudulent calls and to highlight calls that may require attention. The service also provides options to block dangerous numbers and to recognize suspicious calls across popular messaging apps. The system is backed by regularly updated lists of risky numbers, refreshed every day to keep customers protected as new threats emerge.

Developed by Sberbank’s cybersecurity team, the service leverages artificial intelligence technologies to enhance call screening accuracy and deliver timely alerts. In another branch of the same offering, starting November 9, the transfer-monitoring feature for loved ones becomes free and can be used by up to three connected people. The promotion runs through May 31. To use it, a customer can simply select a person from their contact list within the SberBank Online app, specify the requested transfers to monitor, and receive confirmations. From that point, the user can reject transfers that appear suspicious, providing an extra layer of protection against fraudsters targeting their funds.

Green Day is a promotional event tied to Sber’s birthday. The bank launched this occasion in 2018 and has continued the tradition annually. This year’s Green Day event takes place from November 9 to November 11. Customers are invited to participate in prize drawings and to explore financial products and services that align with their interests and needs. The campaign emphasizes both enhanced security features and accessible financial options, inviting customers to take proactive steps to safeguard their money while discovering services that fit their goals.
