Sberbank has streamlined access to a personal salary project, a move underscored by Ekaterina Gartseva, who leads the Social and Salary Solutions department. The goal is to make it simpler for employees to connect and enjoy the benefits tied to Sberbank and its partner products.

The project was first introduced in August of the previous year. Participants quickly discovered favorable terms across a range of Sberbank offerings and partner services. The positive reception prompted Sberbank to simplify the client onboarding process further. The overarching benefit increases when an employee’s payroll comes through a Sberbank card, aligning salary receipt with a broader suite of preferential services.

Even for those not yet ready to switch their payroll bank, there is now access to the advantages of being a Sber payroll customer. The process has been adjusted so individuals can join the personal salary project, transfer a portion of their income to a Sbercard, and begin using the bank’s products under favorable terms.

Previously, determining the minimum transfer amount required income verification via the State Services, which could slow enrollment. Today, for clients paid by Sberbank, the system automatically estimates the minimum transfer amount to a Sberbank card using historical income data. If a client has not received a salary on their Sbercard in the last 30 days, they receive a notification proposing terms that help preserve the perks when connecting to the personal salary project. The privileges assigned to payroll customers remain intact during the connection period.

For clients who have never received a salary through Sberbank or for those more than a year since the last payroll, income verification through the State Services remains necessary to determine the minimum transfer amount. This ensures that the setup aligns with current income patterns while maintaining access to the program’s benefits. The design of the program continues to emphasize flexible participation and predictable terms for employees of partner organizations. Source attribution: Sberbank.
